TFlex Membrane – Concrete Flexible Epoxy Membrane
Data Sheet
Flexible compound, 100% solids, epoxy filled with ceramic microspheres to seal tank bases with excellent adhesion to metals, concrete, and other substrates. TFLEX Membrane is liquid and can be easily applied in thicknesses up to 1 mm without sagging on vertical surfaces. It provides excellent chemical resistance, great flexibility, and elongation.

Application Sheet
Surface Preparation
Proper surface preparation is of vital importance for long-term performance. The prepared concrete surface must be structurally sound, free of all contaminants, and roughened to a profile >ICRI CSP 3 (similar to #60 grit sandpaper). For metal, the minimum preparation should be mechanical cleaning St2/St3. Taurus TFLEX-Membrane can be applied directly onto metal and concrete.
Mixing
Thoroughly mix the activator into the base using a mixing stick, scraping the sides and bottom of the container. Mix by weight at a ratio of 6 parts Base to 1 part Activator. Mix thoroughly until a uniform, streak-free material is obtained. Never add solvents.
Application
It can be applied by brush or roller.
To prevent sagging on vertical surfaces, the maximum wet film thickness should be up to 1 mm (40 mils) per coat.
Application Temperature:
Application temperature range of 10°C (50°F) to 32°C (90°F) (substrate).
For maximum protection against immersion or spills, a 2-coat system is recommended.
To prevent sagging on vertical surfaces, the maximum wet film thickness should be between 500 μm – 1000 μm (20–40 mils) per coat.
