Application Sheet
Surface Preparation
Proper surface preparation is vitally important for long-term performance. The prepared concrete surface must be structurally sound, free of all contaminants and rough to a profile >ICRI CSP 3 (similar to grain size #60 sandpaper). Taurus TCS4 can be applied directly on concrete or with the T497 primer to make vapor barrier. Cleaning can be done with water jet, scarifier, or abrasive jet.
Mixing
Mix the activator well in the base with the mixing rod scraping the sides and the bottom of the container. Mix by weight 1 parts Base to 1 part of Activator. Mix thoroughly to produce a uniform and without stripes. Never put solvents.
Application
Brush: medium to rigid bristles of sufficient quality than bristles do not come loose and stick to the coating (brushes of epoxy glued bristles are better).
Trimorputtape<1″nap.
Roller:useagoodquality1/8″nap.
Application Temperature:
Application temperature range from 10°C (50°F) to 32°C (90°F) (substrate).
For maximum protection against immersion or spillage, a 2-layer system is recommended.
To avoid sagging on vertical surfaces, the maximum thickness of the wet film should bebetween 500μm- 1000μm(20-40mil)per layer.
