Prior sanding and grinding of edges and welds
All sharp edges and welds must be ground with an abrasive disc until smooth or with a 3 mm radius to prevent premature failures.
Cleaning and degreasing
Remove contaminants to improve coating adhesion.
Abrasive blasting
Achieve white or near-white finish (SSPC-SP10) with an angular profile between 75–125 µm.
Removal of residues
Carefully remove abrasive residues that may interfere with the application.
