Application Sheet

Surface Preparation
Proper surface preparation is vital for long-term performance. The prepared concrete surface must be structurally sound, free of all contaminants, and roughened to a profile >ICRI CSP 3 (similar to #60 grit sandpaper). Taurus T411 can be applied directly to concrete.

Mixing
To facilitate mixing and application, all material temperatures should be between 21°–32 °C (70°–90 °F) prior to mixing. Taurus T411 should be applied shortly after the application of primer T497. The primer must remain tacky before applying T411; otherwise, the area must be re-primed. This is optimal within 2 hours of application, depending on environmental conditions. Mix the Base first to disperse pigments. Then thoroughly mix Base and Activator in a suitable container using a slow-speed mixer. After that, transfer the mixed resins to an epoxy mortar mixer containing one bag of quartz and add gradually. Total mixing time should be a minimum of 3 minutes or until evenly blended.

Application
The mixed Taurus T411 can be distributed over the floor surface using screed guides and a rigid bar or screed box, no wider than 1.2m (3.93ft). Apply a minimum thickness of 6mm (240 mil) and finish the surface with a steel trowel. IMPORTANT: During application, press T411 firmly onto the substrate to promote contact with the primer and ensure complete compaction. Finish the mortar surface with a smooth, closed-texture finish.
