Application Sheet

Surface Preparation
Proper surface preparation is of vital importance for long-term performance. The prepared concrete surface must be structurally sound, free of all contaminants, and roughened to a profile >ICRI CSP 3 (similar to #60 grit sandpaper). Taurus TFLEX can be applied directly onto concrete to seal cracks and joints.

Mixing
Thoroughly mix the activator into the base using a mixing stick, scraping the sides and bottom of the container. Mix by weight at a ratio of 2 parts Base to 1 part Activator. Mix thoroughly until a uniform, streak-free material is obtained. Never add solvents.

Application
TFLEX can be applied with a spatula or caulking gun. To prevent sagging on vertical surfaces, the maximum wet film thickness should be up to 12.7 mm (500 mils) per coat.

Application Temperature:
Application temperature range from 10°C (50°F) to 32°C (90°F) (substrate).
For maximum protection against immersion or spillage, a 2-layer system is recommended.
To avoid sagging on vertical surfaces, the maximum thickness of the wet film should be between 500 μm – 1000 μm (20-40 mil) per layer.
